Were you born in the Unites States?
No. I was born in Korea. I came to the U.S. when I was twelve. I was an eighth grader when I came to the U.S. Back in Korea, I took some English courses. Thanks to the wonderful education system we had in Korea, however, the only words I knew to say were "Thank you" and "Coca cola please." McDonald's was not all that big at the time. So, I did not learn to ask for Big Mac.
That's me again. In this picture on the right, I am interpreting for a few courageous North Korean refugees on the Hill. This was a hearing on the living conditions in North Korea and the illegal refoulment of North Korean escapees by China. North Korean human rights is a dear cause in my life. You can find me interpreting for North Koreans during North Korea Freedom Weeks. In this pic, I am the guy seen on the far left. Am I losing hair? I think so. I think I am developing a male pattern baldness in the vertex.
